# How to connect to Teamtailor

To create a connection with Teamtailor, you have to complete 2 steps.

1. [Create an API Key in Teamtailor](#1-create-an-api-key-in-teamtailor)
2. [Vault Connection Setup](#2-vault-connection-setup)

## 1. Create an API Key in Teamtailor

Log into Teamtailor as an admin, click on Organization dropdown in top right and select **Settings** under the submenu.

On the left sidebar, click **API keys** and then click **New API key**. Enter a name to identify the key.

Select **Admin** as API Scope and set `Read` and `Write` permissions as per the needs and click **Create**.

The key will now be generated, select and copy it to the clipboard. You will need it for the next step.

## 2. Vault Connection Setup

Log into Apideck and launch Vault. Click on the Teamtailor integration, enter your API key you copied earlier.

Click **Save**, your connector is now active and can be used with the ATS API.
