# Planhat — CRM API: gotchas

## POST /crm/companies

The status values mentioned by planhat are prospect,coming,customer,canceled,lost.

`parent_id` is ignored on create and is never sent to Planhat. Planhat keeps its company
hierarchy in `orgPath`, but writing that field through the API does not update the rest of
the hierarchy (the company's level and the parent's child count stay unchanged), so the
connector does not write it.

When reading companies, `parent_id` returns the id of the company's direct parent in
Planhat's organization hierarchy.

## PATCH /crm/companies/{id}

While creating a user, the status should be `active`. Default status is `inactive`

While updating a user, the status should be `active`. Default status is `inactive`
## POST /crm/activities

While creating an activity, the type should always be `task`.

While updating an activity, the type should always be `task`.
