Environments

- Testing and production share the same credentials and the same base URL — Sage has no separate sandbox host. Test against a free trial Accounting business created from the developer portal, using a separate trial per country you target, and take the usual care before pointing an integration at a live business's books.
🚨Important to Know About Sage Business Cloud Accounting
- The connector's country setting lists seven options, but only Sage Accounting's three supported countries authenticate — choosing France, Germany, Spain or the United States fails at authorization.
- Every connection needs a Default Company selected before it can be used, even when the consumer's Sage login can reach only one business — the connection stays incomplete until it is set.
- Refresh tokens expire after 31 days and rotate on every use, so a consumer whose integration sits unused for over a month has to re-authorise.
- Feature and endpoint availability depends on your consumer's Sage subscription tier, so a workflow that succeeds for one consumer can fail for another on a cheaper plan.
