Intuit Enterprise Suite – Connection Guide

Service ID: intuit-enterprise-suite

Intuit Enterprise Suite (IES) is a scalable ERP system, integrated multi-entity platform designed to enhance productivity and profitability for clients with complex needs.

How to connect to Intuit Enterprise Suite

Intuit Enterprise Suite uses OAuth 2.0. There is nothing to create, copy, or paste: you connect by signing in to Intuit and approving access. You sign in with your own Intuit credentials, and those credentials are never shared with the application you are connecting.

Prerequisites

  • An active Intuit Enterprise Suite subscription.
  • An Intuit user account with access to the entity (company) you want to connect. Any user with Intuit Enterprise Suite access can authorize the connection — authorizing as an Admin is recommended, because a restricted user's authorization can leave part of the data unavailable to the integration.
  • Nothing else. The application owner has already registered the Intuit app and configured its credentials, so you are never asked for a Client ID, Client Secret, or Company ID.

Steps

1. Click Authorize in Vault

Open the connection screen in Apideck Vault — usually reached from inside the application you are setting up — and find Intuit Enterprise Suite. Click Authorize.

2. Sign in to Intuit

You are redirected to Intuit's sign-in page. Sign in with your own Intuit credentials. If you are already signed in to Intuit in that browser, this step is skipped.

3. Choose the company to connect

One authorization connects one company (Intuit calls this a realm). Choose the company whose data the integration should read and write.

Intuit's Company ID for that company is captured automatically when you return to Vault, so there is no field to fill in.

4. Approve access

Intuit shows its consent screen listing the access being requested. The exact list depends on what the application owner configured for the app. Approve it to continue, or cancel to stop without connecting anything.

5. Confirm the connection

You are returned to Vault and the connection shows as Connected. Apideck refreshes Intuit's short-lived tokens for you, so normal day-to-day use never asks you to sign in again. Intuit does end an authorization eventually — if the connection sits unused for 100 days, or when the authorization reaches Intuit's 5-year maximum lifetime, which applies regardless of activity. In both cases you simply click Authorize again in Vault.

Connecting more than one entity

One authorization connects one entity. To connect additional entities, repeat the steps above and select a different company at step 3; each becomes its own connection in Vault.

Notes

  • Already connected QuickBooks Online to this application? Intuit Enterprise Suite uses the same Intuit app and the same login, so no new account or app is needed. When you move a company from QuickBooks Online to Intuit Enterprise Suite, Intuit's guidance is to keep the same admin user who originally connected the app — re-authorize with that user rather than a different one.
  • You stay in control of access. You can disconnect at any time from Intuit: open Apps > My Apps, find the application, and choose Disconnect. That immediately revokes the application's access to that entity.
  • Your Intuit password is never visible to the application. The sign-in and consent screens are hosted by Intuit; the application only ever receives the access Intuit grants it.

Troubleshooting

The connection saves, but data is missing or writes are rejected

The Intuit user who authorized may not have access to everything the integration needs. Ask your Intuit administrator to widen that user's access — or re-authorize as an Admin: return to Vault and click Authorize again for the same entity.

You connected the wrong company

Disconnect the connection in Vault, click Authorize again, and select the correct company at step 3.

Only one entity's data shows up

Each entity needs its own authorization. Check that every entity you expect has its own connection in Vault — see Connecting more than one entity.

The connection stopped working

Apideck refreshes Intuit's short-lived tokens for you, so a working connection normally stays working. Intuit ends an authorization in three cases: it has gone unused for 100 days, it has reached Intuit's 5-year maximum lifetime, or someone disconnected the app on Intuit's side. In every case the fix is the same: return to Vault and click Authorize again.
